Hi, I’m Tun Lin Phyo. I make small, offline apps for Playdate—little tools for the things I want to remember, make time for, read, write, and enjoy.
I started with a simple wish: I wanted a little more Playdate in my everyday life.
I love its playful design, its physical buttons and crank, and its monochrome screen with no backlight. There’s something lovely about a screen that needs light instead of producing it. Spending time with it gives me a welcome break from the glowing screens around me.
That feeling became a personal experiment: could I turn this little device into a small, offline PDA? Somewhere to keep a reminder, look ahead at my plans, settle into a book, or listen to a favorite song.
Developing for a few buttons and a crank is part of the pleasure. I like exploring how everyday tasks can feel on Playdate, from checking something off to entering a word without a physical keyboard. Word suggestions and cursor editing grew from wanting those small interactions to feel comfortable enough to return to.
I’m continuing to develop this collection, improve the apps, and explore what else this little device can hold. I’ll share more apps and updates here as they’re ready.
I build these tools for my own day. I’m sharing them in the hope that they find a place in yours, too.
Follow along for new apps and updates. If you try one, I’d love to hear how you use it and what could make it better.
